Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) Training Course

The Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) is an industry initiative backed by the government to ensure all tanker drivers in the UK are trained and assessed to a consistent high standard.

The DODF (Downstream Fuel Distribution Forum) has appointed the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) to manage the PDP.

Many if not all terminals now require that you are in possession of PDP.

Petroleum Driver Passport (PDP) Training Course – Overview

The PDP contains classroom training with a written exam along with a practical assessment, both of which need to be completed every five years.

You are required to attend classroom training and a practical assessment every 12 months to maintain the validity of your PDP.

The PDP consists of two parts, theory and practical assessments.
